I had gotten some advice about purchasing a mattress--buy the firmness of the mattress you want, then buy a good topper. Most people get rid of a mattress probably before they need to, and it may be because the "topper" part has either worn out or isn't soft enough anymore. Or so I'm told. So, I took the advice.

I bought a good firm mattress set, then bought this topper. I first had it on the bed as it is pictured here--with the "fingers" facing up. Felt a little weird and way too soft. So, I turned it over and it worked alot better for me. It's nice to have the option for both, which I hadn't considered when purchasing.

I would recommend this item. Seems to be holding up well.
